Bradford L. Rocco ‘81
Bradford L. Rocco graduated from Bexley High School in 1981 and
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from
Franklin University. He is a co-owner of Bexley Pizza Plus. He
opened Gahanna Pizza Plus in 1998 and plans further expansion in the
fall of 2011. He was on the Board of Directors of the Bexley Area
Chamber of Commerce from 2008-2011 and was Chairman of the Taste of
Bexley in 2009 & 2010.
Brad has fostered a strong relationship with the Bexley city schools
through his business, Bexley Pizza Plus. He has supplied pizzas to
the Bexley Boosters in their concessions since 1994. He also hosts
"Pizza Nights" for the district's elementary PTOs where he donates a
percentage of his sales.
Brad also enjoys competing in culinary pizza competitions across the
country, winning numerous awards over the years. In 2003 he earned a
position on the U.S. Pizza Team where he competed in the Food
Network's World Pizza Challenge in Salsamaggiori, Italy. In 2011 he
advanced to the finals of the International Pizza Challenge in Las
Vegas by winning the Eastern Division. In the finals he finished in
third place and was the highest placing American competitor in the
contest.
Brad also enjoys brewing craft beer and is a member of the American
Homebrewers Association. He and his neighbors formed the Seneca Park
Ale Club and he enters his home brews in local beer competitions.
Brad is an avid amateur photographer, with Bexley being one his
favorite subjects. Brad resides in Bexley with his wife, Linda, and
his daughter, Elizabeth, who is in the 1st grade at Cassingham
Elementary School. Brad says, "I truly enjoy living and working in
Bexley and most of all raising my daughter in the same community
that I grew up in."
