Stanley Greenfield – Woodland Hills CA
This is probably the
second time that I’ve written to you in many years. However, since
next year marks the 70th year since graduation, I’d like to renew my
registration and look forward to that celebration. I’ve been
retired from the aerospace industry now for 16 years, having
completed 43 years with three companies, Rockwell, Ramo-Wolridge and
Aerospace Corp. In that time I’ve worked as a rocket R&D engineer
and then project manager of the attitude control rockets of a space
shuttle payload. My wife of 58 years and I have lived in this
suburb of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley since 1960. It’s
quite a grownup community now, with 14-story office buildings, major
shopping centers, freeways and all those other signs of “progress.”
Retired life is very time-consuming with activities I love. I
wonder now how I worked 40+ hours a week and had time to do anything
else. We play golf and bridge, volunteer at two museums, visit with
friends and family. Our three sons and 3 granddaughters live
locally and 2 other granddaughters are in Sacramento and Washington
DC. Email: stanjac1@aol.com.
