On Sept. 6th, 17 classmates got together for lunch at the TAT. It
was a great time. Alan Merkle was there from Arizona and Millie
Tilbrook Lewis and Wanda Price Stygler were there from Florida. We
all enjoyed it so much that we plan to make it a yearly event.
Anyone who is interested in joining us, please contact me and I will
make sure that you are informed when the date is chosen. Also in
attendance: Carolyn Cooper Anderson, Jim Bergman, Larry Bright, Lois
Carsey DiNucci, Carole Schwartz Elkins, Preston Gurwin, Rick Marsh,

Millie Tilbrook Lewis Leesburg FL
After living
in Ft. Myers for 30 years, I have moved to central Florida. Jack
passed away 3 years ago and two of my five kids are here. They
persuaded me to move closer to them (I think they want to keep an
eye on me!). Wanda Stygler lives 3 blocks away and encouraged me to
move here so many activities. Im juggling working & fun stuff!!

While in Florida this past winter, we spent a
few days with Larry McLaughlin 54 and his wife, Barb (a classmate
of mine from Capital University). Bob Doak 55 and his wife, Barb
joined us for dinner one evening. We had a great time looking at
the pictures of our respective 50th class reunions. A week later I
was in Ft. Myers and had lunch with Millie Tillbrook Lewis 54.
Millie is doing well after a difficult last 2 years. Then it was on
to Leesburg where I spent 3 weeks with Wanda Price Stygler 54 and,
believe it or not, we are still speaking after all those weeks
together. It was wonderful seeing all those Bexley grads . . .
almost made me feel young again.

Thomas A. Boster Livermore CA
On 9-22-05 I presented a paper to an
international meeting of physicists at Kapalua, Hawaii, on the
island of Maui. The talk covered my work with Dr. Edward Teller on
the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) or Star Wars and an earlier
paper on x-ray lasers sponsored by Dr. Arthur Schawlow of Stanford
University, who received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1981. I have
the opportunity to visit with Carol Foresman Burdick from time to
time. Carol, also class of 1954, has been a long-time resident on
Maui.
