David Hilliard David was born in Steubenville, Ohio in 1948 and graduated from Barnesville H.S in Barnesville, Ohio in 1966. He went on to receive his BS in speech pathology from Miami University in 1970 and his masters in speech and hearing from Western Michigan in 1975. He worked as a speech therapist and special ed. teacher in Michigan from 1970 until 1980. From 1980 until 1985 he served as Director for Speech/Language and Coordinator for Early Childhood for the Indianapolis Public Schools. In 1985 he became principal at Cold Spring School in Indianapolis and remained there until being named principal at Cassingham Elementary in 1987. He has been principal at Maryland Elementary since 1991. In 1992 David received an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Administration from Indiana University.
