Bexley remains one of the most desirable places to live in the state and nation. The school district’s staff continues to work hard to add value to residents’ and students’ lives by providing a challenging, enriching education in an intimate learning environment. Our district stands as an educational leader by any variety of measures. Bexley’s academic requirements are some of the most advanced of any Ohio public or private school. Bexley is among two percent of Ohio school districts offering foreign language instruction in the elementary grades. A Bexley High School diploma requires four years of mathematics instruction, a higher standard than that of Columbus Academy or Columbus School for Girls, for example. Bexley High School offers 19 approved Advanced Placement (AP) courses, a national standard for excellence, more than most of our region’s private and public schools. Bexley students continue to gain access to our nation’s most competitive and selective universities. Members of each graduating class are annually admitted to the highest ranked colleges and universities such as Yale, Brown, Barnard, Duke, Stanford, Northwestern, Miami, Ohio State, George Washington Universities and Davidson and Columbia Colleges, just to name a few. The Bexley Alumni Association membership can be secure in knowing that we are working hard to maintain Bexley’s reputation as a premier public school system. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Association for the support of the Bexley City School District. Dr. Michael Johnson In it's 83 year history, there have been fifteen Superintendents for Bexley City Schools.
