Mary Clements Horton
– West Point VA
I am in my fifth year
teaching elementary school and LOVE it! My career path wasn’t the
“usual” after graduating from Miami University in 1977. I worked in
the business world for 4 years, then was a fulltime
wife/mom/homemaker as our growing family moved around the country
for 21 years. A new career path seemed in order then and I have
been teaching ever since. Our youngest graduates college this
spring and Jim and I love to travel to visit our other 2 daughters
in California and Wisconsin. But our favorite spot is at our home
on the Pamunkey River in rural Virginia.

Pati Shambaugh –
Columbus OH
I have been active in the quilting industry by inventing the “Quilt
Patis,” writing patterns for their use, taping demo videos for
several other quilting websites and cable shows. Last year I taught
my technique at two quilt guilds in the south of France. It was a
wonderful cultural exchange.
